Give Back Sessions
Purchase a 1 hour session and gift 1 to an essential worker.
A little less than a year ago a nurse and a cop who are high school sweethearts got engaged. And thus the planning for a May 29, 2020 wedding began.
Last week, the wedding was officially cancelled. Two people who have been working 12 hour night shifts continuing through the stress/exhaustion/unknown of this Pandemic had to cancel the most looked forward to celebration of their lives yet. They are not alone, they with many others have ha to put plans on hold, miss time with family, work tirelessly at the frontlines of COVID -19. (There they are above, my sister + her fianće)
The question on everyone’s mind (or maybe just me, but I doubt it) is when will things go back to “normal?” What will “normal” even look like when it resurfaces? How can we ever repay those who are still getting up everyday and leaving their homes in an effort to help others, be it in a hospital, a grocery store, our community, the post office, trash collection, pharmacy?
I get grumpy some days thinking about how I don’t have as much time to myself as I used to, and how my kiddos sometimes are more challenging, because we are all a little grumps - let’s be honest. But, really I am grateful I have a home that has space where I can work, Steve can work (the fact that we still can work), a small yard we can play + garden in, safe streets to go for a walk, food accessibility, sweet healthy babies to snuggle.
My education is rooted in helping my community. I’m not sure how to do that safely, right now while taking care of my kiddos, but what I do know is I have the ability to gift something to those who are truly keeping things running so the rest of us can be safe.

You are giving the gift of having something to look forward, putting some love into the economy, and providing a time capsule for yourself and someone who is busting their buns for us.
